Making changes at your school is easier than you think. Teens in high schools throughout California have banded together to make policy changes in their schools for the better. Here's a list of some ideas you can discuss with your teachers and school administrators: |

- Leaving the gym open before, during and after school and on weekends.
- Offer grab-and-go salads with lowfat salad dressing during lunch.
- Post "Simple Solution to the Energy Problem" campaign materials around campus.
- Get smoothies offered during lunch time.
- Get a healthy food cart on campus with fresh fruit, lowfat milk, bagels and water.
- Offer a physical activity table to check out sports and recreation equipment during lunch.
- Have a potato bar with scrumptious toppings like lowfat mozzerella cheese, brocolli, low fat sour cream, chili, etc.
- Offer lowfat yogurt, fresh fruit and bagels in the snack bars.
- Offer pretzels, lowfat granola and cereal bars, wheat and animal crackers, roasted peanuts, sunflower seeds, and baked chips in the vending machines.
- Offer teen-friendly activities during physical education, e.g. kickboxing, aerobics, body toning, and dancing.
